A Colourful, DIY Farm Wedding In Cornwall

The wedding dresses couple is Sam, a TV documentary producer, and Andy, a finance manager who married on 9 June 2018. After a church service at, Mawnan, Cornwall, they proceeded to Rosemullion Head Farm for a marquee reception filled with color and lightweight, inspired by a simple confetti balloon.

"I love color, and try to know it needed to play a part within the day somehow. Then I was inspired by a confetti balloon, and though this can be a great method to get as numerous colors in as you possibly can! I started tinkering with stamping out colored cards in tiny circles for that invites after which extended this to create paper garland/ bunting in the same colored card."

I'm so deeply in love with the cute flower girls' outfits of tutus purchased from matched with simple dance bodies. They each carried just a little posy of fresh flowers coupled with matching blooms within their hair.

Sam wore her hair in an elegant up-do coupled with classic makeup to emphasize her natural prettiness. A few finishing touches made the bride-to-be look elegant and feel comfortable.

St Mawnan Church has hidden away down an extended winding country road, and the bride-to-be and her father traveled there in fashion in a vintage Rolls Royce lent by Sam's mum's boss.

"My wonderful father Roger walked me on the aisle. We had an organ player perform Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling In Love' which sounded wonderful.”

Andy decided to wear classic groom's attire; a deep grey three-piece suit worn having a light pink tie and shoes. His ushers and groomsmen wore their very own suits but the bridesmaids had their look tied along with one key piece.

OK, time for you to talk about Sam's lacy gown. The bride visited Truro to sort out exactly what type of gown she felt comfortable in. Her divine full-skirted piece in pure white is a component of the signature collection and was adapted to match the style during the day. I adore the contrast between your demure bodice and sexy open back.

"I always knew I liked lace and I secretly hoped it might suit me (without getting my hopes up!). My mum selected my dress so that as soon as I used it on I felt that 'wow' moment."

"Even though I loved the gown I had several alterations done. The original gown had long sleeves but because it was a summer wedding had them shortened to 3/4 length. I also had the neckline lowered to simply below my collar bone. I adored the lace detail as well as though the gown was quite conservative it was built with a gorgeous mid-back."

The bridesmaids were inspired to choose their very own navy outfits, leading to this happy mish-mash of styles for any modern look. They each were built with a floral pin to tie the appearance together.

"It was important in my experience that the bridesmaids all felt comfortable and 'themselves' so that as they are all different sizes and shapes I just find the color after which they picked the remainder. I picked navy because it suited my girls. It was great allowing them to choose their very own and I was built with a great mixture of dresses and jumpsuits. It felt modern and I loved the non-uniform nature of the way they looked."

"I also need to create a special mention to Andy's band; 'Okay Bouquet'. He and three other friends started a little band to experience at another friend's wedding, they became pretty good, so obviously we needed to have them at our very own wedding. This was another highlight during the day."

The whole wedding was this type of personal affair; so many of the couple's family and friends had an important role in the day which meant a great deal to Sam and Andy.

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"My biggest advice is to buy started early. I did a great deal over annually before the marriage. Andy thought I was mad but I know I didn't desire to be stressed and panicked within the run-up to the day! As I made and crafted a great deal of stuff too this helped spread the burden and I loved making and planning."
