A Colourful and Cultured Manchester City Centre Wedding

Meet Katie and Joe, who have been married on Saturday 5 May 2018. The ceremony venue choice reflected Katie's background, studying art, and also the reception would be a nod to Joe's Spanish heritage. Katie chose a stylish, sleeveless embroidered gown that has a simple scoop neckline and delightful puddle train.

"I only tried on three dresses and knew quite in early stages this was the main one for me. I loved the detail from the embroidery and also the high neckline but slightly back."

Katie's chic bridesmaid dresses chose their very own dresses within the softest of dove grey shades.

I love the make-up look that was created for Katie – a subtly smoky pink eye shadow paired having a sugary pop of pink around the lips.

Joe wore a vintage three-piece suit in deep blue by having a smart white bow tie and pocket square and black Oxfords from As well because this, Katie sweetly says younger crowd wore 'a permanent smile'.

Hand at hand, Katie and her mum, Trish walked down the aisle for an instrumental version of Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles. What a stunning setting in which to switch vows – that lovely and lightweight gallery space full of art.

"In the lead up to the marriage, it had been the ceremony that people were both most excited for. We knew we desired to make the most of it and can include the friends and family which were important to us."

The flowers were an excellent combination of soft pastel pink and white coupled with vibrant bursts of blooming loveliness.

"To participate in the mix of cultures, we knew we wanted roses along with other typically English flowers, however with the use of bright colors to represent the Spanish element. Grace did an excellent job at doing exactly that. We were so happy with the flowers! They pulled everything together and added this type of pop, but in a vintage way."

All of the sweetness and joy from the day were effortlessly captured by Lucy, whose excellent work we've featured. There's such vibrancy in these images – they're just enchanting.

"We would recommend Lucy inside a heartbeat! From the minute we met her, we knew we wanted her to become our photographer. She captured the day in a way that was better than we were able to have imagined and just felt like another guest. So lovely and talented."

"When we woke up around the morning from the wedding, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and everyone kept telling us how lucky we'd get using the weather. Looking back, we're so happy we decided to have our ceremony later in the afternoon. The day leading up to being relaxed also meant we caught that awesome dusk light that was designed for some fab photos. Lucy grabbed us quickly throughout the canapes before the sun completely set with an impromptu photo shoot on one of the busiest streets in Manchester. People were walking past and shouting 'Congratulations!' It was all a little surreal but we look back and laugh about this now."

"Dinner and dancing were at Tapeo & Wine, a completely independent Spanish tapas restaurant in Manchester. We knew we desired to have long banquet tables so everyone might be together and that we could be within the middle of things."

"Tapeo & Wine went far above to make the evening special for all of us. The wine flowed there was more tapas than anyone could handle! We had a lot of compliments about the food and also the service; it had been one of our favorite parts of the day."

"Our first dance ended up being to Dancing within the Moonlight by Toploader. It just instantly causes us to be happy and takes us to memories of sun and sand."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"On your day: Don't take into account the small stuff. If something doesn't go based on the plan, odds are you'll be the only one that knows. Relax and revel in – it truly is a whirlwind!"
