An Elegant, Pastel-Hued Wedding

Meet Laura, who is a Project Manager in a design agency, and Adam, an Aircraft Engineer for British Airways. They were married around 29 September 2018 at Cumbria – a graceful country house and estate.

"There wasn't something that inspired our day. I knew that I wanted plenty of flowers in white, pink, and peach with plenty of foliage and greenery. I also introduced some gold and wooden bits also it went after that. I wanted to help keep it fairly simple!"

"I should have tried on about 75 dresses before I found my dress – no exaggeration! I think I drove my mum mad. When I tried on my small dress, there wasn't anything about this that I desired to change, so I decided it should be the one."

Not only made it happen to have pretty, botanical-inspired lace and also the most delicate of tulle illusion necklines, additionally, but it also came filled with detachable, softly draped wings that looked using this world.

The bridesmaids wore lovely pale blue beaded maxi dresses, along with their shoes, and gold and silver pendant necklaces engraved using their initials – gifts from Laura around the morning of the wedding.

"I loved these prom dresses and thankfully so did my bridesmaids. I loved the color, the neckline, and also the beading, plus they went perfectly using the flowers. I added some ribbon to my bouquet in the same color as his or her dress, that was also my 'Something blue."

Floral arrangements through the brilliantly creative were whimsical and romantic pastel-hued confections of Old English and spray roses, stocks, lisianthus, hydrangea blooms, and greenery.

"We wanted somewhere that people could hire for the entire weekend to increase the celebrations, somewhere with character and lovely grounds for photos, and somewhere high wasn't a marriage every day from the week, therefore, we could decorate ourselves and never feel pushed the next day because another couple was arriving."

"Adam and I met at a house party last year, just weeks before I left to visit Australia for 6 months. We got together the moment I got back and we've virtually been inseparable since! We got engaged around the 1st December 2016, therefore we were engaged 22 months before we got married."

Laura and Adam were married within the beautiful, white-washed barn at Askham Hall, and also the ceiling was strung with fairy lights, and also the space was full of flowers and balloons. Together with her dad, Laura walked down the aisle towards the song Yellow by Coldplay.

"We wrote our very own vows, and I'm so pleased we did because it personalized the ceremony. We kept them secret from one another, therefore the first time we heard one another's was throughout the ceremony itself!"

Whilst guests enjoyed canapes and drinks within the autumn sunshine, Laura, Adam, and also the wedding party headed deeper into the gardens at Askham Hall for many wonderful groups and couple shots. On hand to capture everything was the photographer, whose artwork is suffused with light and romance.

"I first spotted Helen's images on Instagram before I got engaged, and fell deeply in love with her natural, airy, light, and whimsical images. We 100% made the best decision when choosing her. She is really a lovely person to possess around the day, and she or he made us feel relaxed, and that we are deeply in love with all our photos."

"Our videographer was Jon. Jon was wonderful to utilize on our big day, causing us to feel relaxed in front of the camera, once we were both a little nervous! We got our film in December and he has captured your day perfectly."
