An Effortlessly Classy & Elegant Country Wedding Venue

These sublime images are a celebration of the graceful space and many beautiful wedding venues that's. Nestled inside the stunning Country Durham countryside, this effortlessly classy venue oozes light, space, and sheer elegance.

"The inspiration behind our editorial images and film was the heart-stoppingly beautiful Lartington Hall. This spectacular country house in North Yorkshire exudes elegance. Famed for exquisitely tasteful interiors, super pretty gardens, a personal chapel, an elegant Grand Ballroom, and delicious food, we desired to capture the essence of the weekend wedding dresses only at that country house estate."

The look from the shoot is classic having a contemporary edge. We wanted our bride modern and style-savvy. Our sartorial choices by Alexandra Grecco added a fashion-forward edge to the overall classic design from the shoot. Jo Adams, The Hair & Makeup Atelier, kept the makeup fresh and dewy for the romantic ceremony gown but ramped in the evening glam for the final look. With smokey eyes, a loose ponytail, as well as an embellished hairband by Miss Clemmie our bride, was prepared to party!

We took the easy pearl because of the basis for the shoot and threaded this into many of the details. From delicate pearl rings to statement pearl ear cuffs, a cake adorned with pearls to teeny edible pearls around the divine Macarons developed. The epic pearl cape would be a lot of fun to create! The pearl is very a classic look, but we desired to add freshness to this organic gem.

We chose various shades of neutrals for the color palette which proved helpful with the pearl thread. The neutrals were greatly influenced by the paint colors and interiors within Lartington Hall. We added pops of color to the flowers with delectable toffee and sand-colored roses adding depth.

It was this type of joy to produce large installations in Lartington Hall's spaces, however, we desired to keep the softness present in a natural summer garden – think light and whimsical in fashion.

Our florist Lucy MacNicoll combined the best of British summer blooms including Sweet Peas, Orlaya, Philadelphus, Foxgloves, and Roses with luscious green Beech, Silver Birch foliage, and delicate grasses.

To add depth to some of the floral toffee and sand tones were added via blousy garden Rose including varieties, for example, Sahara and Toffee Roses with pretty taupe-colored Bunny tail grasses.

The tablescape design featured ceramic bowls full of airy and feminine florals to go with the delicate tapered Ester & Erik candles and dinnerware by Duchess & Butler. The table was framed by having an asymmetric loose and natural oversized fireplace design.

The bedroom set was dressed having a whimsical meadow design incorporating numerous Cow Parsley, Orlaya, and Foxgloves.

My favorite detail may be the bathroom – there are plenty of incredible places for portraits at Lartington Hall but this fabulous mural was pure drama. I also loved the Chapel – it had been both wild with flowers and serene in the atmosphere. A truly magical spot to say your vows.

Capturing the shoot were a couple of duos, Jacob & Pauline. This may be the second time we've caused them and they’re pure magic. Their focus on detail is second-to-none and we just love these beautiful images and films.
