A Bohemian & Nature, Inspired Wedding
The couple was wed on 29 June 2019 at the former textile mill a beautifully-restored space that's full of light and historical detail. After the civil ceremony, they made their method to another converted textile mill in Halifax for any reception which was filled with allusions to summer and nature, with airiness, light, and natural texture answer to the look. Beth looked beautiful in her bohemian-inspired dress by FeelTimes.
"They concentrate on relaxed hairstyling with all of the boho vibes and natural make-up looks so I knew I is in safe hands. They asked plenty of questions about the gown, venue, theme, and vibe so when I explained my ideas for hair and make-up they got it immediately. I trusted them 100% that was a huge relief. It's obvious they completely love the things they're doing and approach each bride with numerous support and enthusiasm. I love them!"
"I wanted some type of flowers during my hair but I was concerned about the execution as I also knew I wanted plaits and curls along with a veil… that's several things! I decided on half a flower crown coupled with planning to put on it in front but was left with it behind as it felt more wearable, especially with my plait. It was produced from fresh flowers so I'd not had time for you to do a trial with my hair and flower crown."
"I wore simple sandals in silver. They were ideal for walking around the woods for photos following the ceremony and dancing the whole night. I kept accessories simple because the flower crown, veil, and dress were all a significant statement."
"We met through operation in 2010 and became friends. We started dating 3 years later and also got engaged in April 2017 at the back of a camper van in New Zealand. It was my 30th birthday and we were at the very bottom of the South Island in Curio Bay."
"We'd were built with a fantastic day going through the South coast coupled with just returned from the walk around the beach. He had filled the van with candles and fairy lights."
"The candles spelled out 'Marry Me. When I turned around he was on a single knee having a ring. He inquired about marrying him and I said yes. We spent the rest of the evening drinking champagne and Skyping family – many of which already knew! It was perfect."
"We didn't desire a long engagement therefore we started planning our wedding virtually straight after you have engaged but needed to factor in some time for you to save up. We set the date for 2 years later in 2019."
The wedding flowers were the essence of summer, a seasonal riot of soppy pink peonies, pure white blooms, wildflowers, and fresh green foliage, all come up by Rachel.
"My lovely dad traveled towards the ceremony beside me and walked me on the aisle. He would be a real calming influence. When we reached Gibson Mill, right before we got out of the van, is a moment I will never forget."
The couple married against a light-infused backdrop of macramé along with a statement floral arch.
"We wrote our very own vows. Simon's were beautiful, they can make our registrar cry. It was a significant daunting thought recording your innermost feelings and speaking them aloud in front of the family and friends, but I am so glad we did because that's what it's about really – making promises and commitments to one another."
