Effortless Elegance for any Modern, Minimalist, and Classy Boutique Hotel Wedding

Courteney and Rob's, lovely and intimate south coast wedding, occurred on 26th June this season in Portsmouth. This classy modern wedding was originally designed to host 120 guests – several reduced to 30 ultimately, due to pandemic restrictions. Reducing their original plans didn't mean minimizing the design and style, joy, or celebration in any way, which was captured beautifully through the very wonderful, our highly recommended wedding dresses photographers.

"We wanted a vintage feel but nothing stiff or stuffy. We didn't subscribe to anything too 'on trend' as didn't want almost anything to become dated looking back at photos in years in the future."

The bride completed her look by having a pair of silver T-bar heels from Emporio Armani, a crystal headband, and baby breath pearl hairpins.

Courteney's maids wore the cut gowns from FeelTimes.

"I loved how comfortable my dress was. The way the fabric moved. It would be a heavy silk satin, and also the light managed to get appear ethereal. I wore a chapel-length veil with ladder lace edging too."

"For the flowers, I wanted to obtain the right balance of striking and fresh but classic. Camilla had the vision to make use of beautiful blush and nude blousy roses with dashes of red and fresh green foliage. We used ."

"I started attempting to book suppliers around June 2020 also it dawned on me that people couldn't get wedding insurance, and each deposit I laid down, we're able to potentially lose. It would be a worry along with a gamble as I didn't wish to lose out on great suppliers. In January 2021 it became apparent that 120 guests were unthinkable, we could be lucky with 30."

"As it happened, the roadmap from lockdown was set to finish on 21st June, 5 days before the big day, therefore we were super chuffed but knew we required to err around the side of caution. With that in your mind, we changed our venue – the idea of 30 people attempting to fill a castle would be a bit bleak, therefore we slashed the guest list to 50 and booked the boutique hotel next door to my loved ones' home."

"It made life a great deal simpler. All the guests attending the church service needed to wear masks and remain socially distant – as many as two households per pew. I didn't need to wear a facemask and my stepfather and my bridesmaids could walk on the aisle with no facemask."

The couple didn't possess a traditional first dance but did state that their speeches made their cheeks ache from laughter.

"Our photographer only agreed to be a pro. As soon as she entered the area, she gave off an aura of calm. What I admired most, maybe the way that she was everywhere but additionally invisible simultaneously. I love how she efficiently got the 'staged' family shots done nice and quickly after which spent the majority of the afternoon capturing real moments."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"We saved the cash on things that people didn't deem important – wedding favors and props like neon signs and donut walls. Instead, we used those funds to go towards quality drinks and food, and also to provide a free bar. It proved helpful in that it is easy to help keep tabs on acceptances and food choices. Also, we will frame the artwork and also have it in our home."

"What matters would be to remain centered on what your day is about – to obtain married towards the love of your life, amongst family and friends who all adore you."
