NATALIE & ADAM: REAL BRIDE STORY

We chose Game of Thrones as our theme because we've got engaged on April 13th around the cliffs of Fairhead in Northern Ireland - for fans from the show this is when Jon Snow reaches out his hand to Drogon and he accepts him - we're both such geeks! We were visiting all of the major filming locations around Belfast at that time.

I walked on the aisle exactly twelve months later, on April 13th, towards the main GoT theme song played through the string quartet. Then later at our reception whenever we were announced as Mr & Mrs. White, they played 'The Rains of Castamere' in the Red Wedding episode. The string quartet we hired played several pieces in the show for all of us which was fun and unique.

It was ideal for both people and I had major goosebumps! Our tables were named after various castles in the show. Our favors were composed of liqueurs for example 'Qarth Gin', an imagined city in Game of Thrones. We also sat on two white thrones for that wedding dresses breakfast and also the stationery had the map of Westeros without anyone's knowledge. Our centerpieces were very green and white, a nod to Ireland where we've got engaged, and that we had crowns, cylinders, candelabras, and candles to fit in with the theme.

I had simply no idea what style, shape, material, or anything I wanted which made it slightly daunting for me when I found dress shopping. All I knew is the fact that I didn't desire a strapless or sweetheart neckline.

At first, my bridesmaids included me to test dresses but I thought it was all a little overwhelming. In the end, it had been just my mum, aunt, and cousin who saw me try around the one. It was nice to possess them with me as I must've tried on around 30 dresses before finding my dress. Although it seems a great deal, I'm really glad I took time with it as I love my wedding dress. My mum wound up buying my dress at feeltimes.com for me personally. The dress I chose was the FeelTimes dress. The high neck was what drew me towards the dress instantly. I did request my dress to become slightly customized having a modesty piece while you could somewhat begin to see the sweetheart part from the neckline. Once it had been altered I felt elated when I used it on.

My absolute top tip for future brides is always to enjoy the procedure for choosing a dress. I felt rather rushed sometimes and although I would've picked Tate regardless, it had been all over so quickly.
